As a young team competing at Worlds for the first time, our goal was to learn, grow, and have fun—and we accomplished all of that.

The team delivered a strong performance across every aspect of the competition, placing 69th in the robot game out of 160 teams at Worlds—and among 38,000 teams worldwide.

Thank you to the many incredible teams and coaches for their encouragement and mentorship along the way. We hope to return in a future year and build on everything we’ve learned.

The coaches lost a bet today when the team scored >=500 —so it’s double ice cream for the team tonight 🍦🍦. The team adapted on the fly and delivered our highest score yet in the practice rounds. It’s in these unrehearsed moments that their depth really shows. Hoping we can bring that same precision and ingenuity into tomorrow’s competition rounds!

We’re a school robotic team, foco-robo.ai (FLL Team 67201) from Fort Collins, Colorado. Over the past year, we’ve been working with professional archaeologists from History Colorado, Coal Creek Research, and the University of Wyoming to develop a phone app that helps identify artifacts while encouraging people to preserve their context.

We’re currently looking for testers for our projectile point (arrowhead) identification app, powered by an AI model trained on 14,000 images from the Colorado Projectile Point Database.
We’re in the closed testing phase, which requires two steps:

Requirements:
Android phone (not available on iPhone yet)

How to test:
Try it on real projectile points (best on a clean, high-contrast background like solid white or black)
Or use images from the Colorado Projectile Point Database
Any feedback from this community would be incredibly valuable as we continue improving the app.

Today was a major milestone for our team.

This morning, we conducted a site visit at History Colorado, where we worked alongside one of our favorite archaeologists to test our artifact-identification app on real artifacts in the Emery Lab. This gave us valuable real-world validation and insights to improve accuracy and usability.

In the afternoon, we presented our innovation to representatives from Coal Creek Research at the Stone Age Festival. Through this collaboration, we are leveraging their extensive database of over 14,000 projectile point images to scale our AI model toward real-world deployment.

Overall, today brought incredible learning, new ideas, and strong encouragement from the Colorado archaeological community—reinforcing that our solution has real impact and potential.
