Additions come in all shapes, sizes, and budgets! This garage addition was a neat one we did in Loveland that simply expanded their storage shape. Maybe you don’t have the space to do a separate outbuilding- an addition to the house is a great way of adding additional square footage that ties seamlessly with the home!

BUYING THE RIGHT LOT 🏡

When it comes to buying the right lot for your custom home, there are some things you should look for:

🔨Utilities: does this lot have utilities already close to the property? Does the listing price of the lot include a water tap? Will it need a sewer line? Maybe a septic system?
🔨 HOA or Metro District Presence: Is this lot in an HOA? Do you align with the HOA requirements? Some HOA’s are stricter than others and have architectural/design requirements. Some new construction communities have metro districts in place as well - so your property taxes may be higher.
🔨 Zoning- do you know if the property is zoned for what you’d like to do? Does that property have any deed or builder restrictions?
🔨 Did you call your builder and realtor to tour the property? You’ll need both so you don’t have to answer all the above questions on your own 🥸
