LiFePO4 vs Lead Acid 🤷‍♂️

LifePO4 batteries:
🔋Have a longer lifespan (up to 10-15 years) compared to lead-acid batteries (3-5 years)
🔋 Can be discharged to a much deeper depth (80% depth of discharge (DoD) or more) than lead-acid batteries (50% DoD or less)
🔋 Have a much higher energy density, meaning they can store more energy in a smaller space
🔋 Have a lower self-discharge rate, meaning they lose less of their charge when not in use
🔋 Can handle more charge/discharge cycles than lead-acid batteries
🔋 Are more expensive than lead-acid batteries

Lead-acid batteries:

🪫 Are less expensive than LifePO4 batteries
🪫 Have been around for more than a century and are well-established technology
🪫 Have a larger recycling network, which can make it easier to dispose of them at the end of their life
