I grew up on construction sites but I've spent the last 30 years
selling technology hardware/software across the world
Sitting in an airport one day I was dreaming of how
nice it would be to sleep in my bed for a change
I'm a technology nerd and I also love working with my hands,
which made me think, could they be combined? I know a lot of contractors/handymen still hand write or use Word
to create bids/invoices and
I could not find a simple app to create invoices
The Aha Moment! With no coding experience, I started learning SWIFT coding, though
I didn’t know my ASCII from my Boolean! (A little nerd joke)
Fast forward a year-ish & help from overseas coders, I launched my 1st BiditBillit app in the Apple store
The app was "decent" but needed refinement, so I began work on the next version
only to find out my developer had moved on
After months of trying to find another source, I thought my dream, time, and money were wasted
Completely defeated, I left a "Hail Mary" message for the computer science dean
of a local college
To my surprise he connected me with Dr. Roger Webster, PHD of Computer Science at Florida Southwest College
Roger is a "God send", he understood my vision from day one and its been a
joy to work with him on the complete relaunch of BiditBillit
