The Douglas M. Anderson EOC was developed to effectively manage local emergencies and catastrophic events happening in and around St.
Lucie County. The 27,000 SF center consists of three (3) buildings that integrate the Sheriff’s department and County Fire District with 911 and emergency
dispatch. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology equipment, fiber optics and back-up emergency power which makes the
facility self supporting. The $9 million center includes an Operations room, 911 Call Center, four (4) conference rooms and spaces for media briefing,
animal control and radiology. The building is equipped with a full kitchen, individual sleeping quarters for EOC staff and a multi-purpose room
that can be used for training or additional sleeping quarters. In addition, the EOC has a communication building with a 120’ self supporting
communications tower.
