Steel Dynamics announced a planned leadership transition that positions our company for continued long-term growth and success.

Effective January 1, 2027, Theresa E. Wagler will become President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Mark D. Millett, who will transition to Executive Chairman of the Board. Theresa will also join the Steel Dynamics Board of Directors effective immediately. This transition reflects a thoughtful and comprehensive succession planning process designed to support continuity while advancing Steel Dynamics' strategy as a world-leading metals solutions company.

“Theresa’s appointment recognizes her leadership as the company has grown,” said Millett. “We have worked together for decades, and she has played a pivotal role in our success. Theresa has earned the full confidence of the board and the leadership team, and I am proud and excited to transition the role of Chief Executive Officer to her.”

We thank Mark for his exceptional leadership and vision over the past three decades and congratulate Theresa, as we continue building on a strong foundation of innovation, growth, and value creation!
