Welder / Metal Fabricator – Dale Brisco Inc. (Fowler, CA)
Dale Brisco Inc. is a family‑owned custom manufacturing shop that has been serving the Central Valley since 1967. We are looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high‑quality work, enjoys hands‑on fabrication, and wants to be part of a team that supports agriculture, food processing, and industrial customers throughout the region.
We are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn. Experience with laser welding is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities
At Dale Brisco Inc., you will:
Work from shop travelers, drawings, and prints to fabricate parts and assemblies to spec.�Perform layout, cutting, forming, welding, grinding, and fitting of parts for equipment, repairs, and new builds.�Weld using MIG and TIG processes; experience with laser welding is preferred and will be considered a plus.�Help build and repair items such as huller/sheller components, conveying parts, ducting, frames, brackets, and other custom metal work.�Operate common fabrication equipment such as press brakes, saws, drills, roll/forming equipment, and other shop machinery (training available).�Complete assigned jobs on schedule and within the hours budgeted.�Communicate with the shop lead/foreman about issues, questions, or delays.�Keep machines, tools, and your work area clean, organized, and safe.�Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.�Fill out simple, accurate job paperwork and time entries.�Support a positive, respectful work environment and represent Dale Brisco Inc. professionally.�Work overtime when needed to help meet customer deadlines.
Required Qualifications
3-5+ years of welding or metal fabrication experience preferred
Experience with MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless, and/or aluminum�Ability to read a tape measure accurately�Basic material‑handling skills and safe lifting practices�Comfortable using hand tools and power tools in a shop environment�Reliable transportation and consistent attendance�Ability to follow instructions and retain information�Positive attitude and ability to work well with others�Commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job right
Preferred Experience
Laser welding experience or interest in learning laser welding�Experience operating fabrication tools and machines (press brake, shear, rollers, saws, etc.)�Background in sheet metal, structural fabrication, or industrial/construction work�Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings�Strong basic math skills and ability to visualize parts in 3D
Work Environment
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced shop and yard environment. Work is performed in our fabrication shop. You’ll be on your feet for most of the day, working around fabrication equipment, weld stations, and material handling.
You should be comfortable with:
Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance)�Working around noise, dust, fumes, and metal particles (PPE provided)�Varying temperatures depending on the season and shop conditions�Using and respecting heavy machinery, power tools, and forklifts/handling equipment�Wearing required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and welding PPE
