Everyone talks about the materials that pull water from air. We think the harder part is the machine that runs on them, for years, in a desert. WaHa's sealed Vaporator engine, designed and built in the U.S., regenerates the sorbent at far lower energy cost than anything else, and makes two things from one energy input: pure water and dry air. It is running today with five nines of uptime in the UAE and Sweden, and our first commercial unit, the Oasis 24, is now in pre-order.

Getting water from air takes two steps: capture the v***r, then release it as liquid. Capture is largely solved science.

Release is what separates the platforms, and it's why most systems stop working exactly where water stress is worst.

The WaHa Vaporator® recovers its own heat to release water continuously, down to 7% humidity, from −20°C to 55°C, producing pure water and inexpensive dry air from one energy input.

Humid air carries two things worth having: water and energy. Most machines keep one and throw the other away. The WaHa Vaporator® keeps both – a sealed, closed-loop engine recovers its own heat and produces distilled-grade pure water and inexpensive dry air from a single energy input, anywhere from −20°C to 55°C and down to 7% humidity.

The WaHa Vaporator now operates at the Arizona Atmospheric Water Harvesting testbed at Arizona State University.
Tests there took place at 18% relative humidity. The unit delivered its complete rated output of 24 liters of pure water each day under those conditions. That matches the machine specification with no reduction. The Vaporator maintains this capacity down to 7% relative humidity.

Reliability shows up in the numbers. The equipment meets its specified pure water production even when ambient moisture is low.

Internal heat recovery inside a sealed thermodynamic engine keeps performance steady. A novel solid desiccant recognized through the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry handles the moisture capture step. Together these elements allow the machine to function where humidity levels drop far below what conventional systems require.
Independent testbed results give buyers measurable proof. Operations that currently truck water or rely on fragile supply lines gain a practical alternative that works on site with electricity or renewables.

The platform also yields dry air alongside the pure water. That second output serves separate industrial needs without additional equipment.

Each validated deployment adds to the performance record. The focus stays on equipment that delivers as specified before any broader infrastructure model follows.

New in the Permian Basin: Ibyma is now WaHa's exclusive distributor, starting with remote workforce camps. The WaHa Vaporator® pulls pure water from the air and makes inexpensive dry air on-site, so crews can have their own water instead of trucking it in. Built for the heat and the dry air of West Texas and New Mexico.

How does your family get their drinking water?

The WaHa Vaporator® Oasis-24 produces 24 liters of pure drinking water per day straight from the air, even at very low humidity (down to 7% RH, versus 40 to 60% RH required by competitors) and at temperatures from -20°C to 55°C. It produces dry air as a byproduct.

A patented metal-organic framework (M*F) wheel paired with a high-efficiency heat pump captures only water v***r from the air and turns it into pure, liquid water. The M*F chemistry inside was awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, with the Nobel Committee citing water harvesting from desert air as a flagship application.

Zero PFAS, zero microplastics, zero heavy metals. Light mineralization adds a fresh, clean taste. No expensive filters to change. No brine. No wastewater.

Field-proven: 99.999% uptime across desert pilots. One unit replaces thousands of plastic bottles per year.

Two models are open for preorder:

Integrated: indoor or covered outdoor, hot/cold/ambient dispensing

Outdoor: rugged, pumps direct to tank or dispenser

Early pricing in effect now. Link to preorder in the comments.
