The Sasser family has built homes throughout the region, instilling in him an early appreciation for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and doing things the right way.

Deep Roots Matter. Meet Justin Thorn, co-founder and architectural designer. Raised in the rural mountains of West Virginia to a family of third-generation coal miners, he learned the value of small communities, local resources, and the peacefulness of nature.

He moved to North Carolina 30 years ago to pursue architectural design and never left. Over the decades, he’s put down roots in eastern North Carolina, working his entire career in Wayne County and building lasting relationships through the communities and people he’s worked alongside.
