When refined, that 42-gallon barrel is broken down into various products, with roughly 70-80% of it typically converted into transportation fuels (gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel).

So the average 42-Gallon Barrel ACTUALLY yields:

**Motor Gasoline: ~19–20 gallons
**Distillate Fuel (Diesel/Heating Oil): ~11–13 gallons
**Jet Fuel: ~3–4 gallons
**Other Products: ~9–12 gallons (hydrocarbon gas liquids, asphalt, lubricants, petrochemical feedstocks)

NYSEG wants to hit customers with a 35% increase on electric delivery rates and a 39.4% increase on natural gas delivery rates.

That’s not for USING more power; that’s just for the privilege of getting it DELIVERED.

Meanwhile, record profits keep rolling in, so who’s looking out for the people footing the bill?
