Today's focus is on multimode fiber.

Fun fact: I consider this type of fiber to be a relic of the past. It performs adequately for low-bandwidth data transmission and short distances, relying on LEDs. Nevertheless, for more demanding applications, single-mode fiber, which leverages laser technology for long-distance transmission, is the industry standard.

I haven't worked with a 1995 cable in a while, and I must admit I don't miss it. The grease used back then was extremely sticky and difficult to clean. This was a small 16 trunk fiber cable. I've successfully transitioned it to the new cable, allowing the state to continue with their I74 project.
