Ok everyone if you haven't done it already, you should be cycling on you heaters today!!! Turn them to heat, adjust the thermostat so that it is 1 or 2 degrees above the current temperature and allow it to run for a full cycle. There should be warm air flowing from the vents and the temperature in the house should increase untill the heater automatically turns off. Don't get stuck in the cold 🥶.

It's almost that time ladies and gentlemen. The sweltering heat will be here before you know it. Test your systems before you need them! You can do this by turning your thermostat to cool on the next warm day. Leave the system on for at least an hour making sure that it cycles on and off correctly and that air is flowing through all vents. You should also check that the air coming from vents is cold (not just cool) throughout the duration of your test.

Rodge's Tip: When seasons change so should your Air Filters. Be sure to check your filters regularly to insure adequate air return.

Rodge's Tip: Remember to test your heating system before the first cold snap this fall. Do this by turning the thermostat to the heat setting and turning up the temperature setting. Be sure that the heater is cycling on and off and that the air coming through the vents is hot. If you do not have an automatic ignition furnace you will have to manually ignite the pilot light prior to turning on your system.

For best results, condensing units should be washed out with a garden hose routinely.
