The Sedgwick County Register of Deeds (ROD) is launching a new land records management system and will close its offices before the Monday, Feb. 3 launch. Office closures are as follows:

– Friday, Jan. 24: All day at East Kellogg Tag Office
– Thursday, Jan. 30: Noon at both locations
– Friday, Jan. 31: All day at both locations

The new system will make it easier to search and access public documents like deeds, mortgages, liens and easements. It will also include fees for remote access, creating a traceable record of transactions and helping deter fraud.
