Last week, & teamed up for a session at to record a special series of playthrough videos, in anticipation of a record Jay made with the band : "The Ringing Bell,” available July 17th on . The first single “A Blaze of Nihilism” just dropped a few days ago, so go give that a listen.

I am blown away with Model 8. I did this test to play with the varispeed functionality and mechanics for a track I am working on. My expectations were far exceeded. The built in FX, virtual instruments, and workflow were incredibly inspiring and the closest thing i’ve found to working on my old 388 and machines of the like. If you’re into this kind of stuff, go download Model 8 for free on their site to give it a whirl.

New track “The Shell” Feat : Whissell is now available exclusively on . Written as an original song to accompany the upcoming action-thriller POC , I liked it enough to release it as a single. I am in the process of finding a label and distro team that I align with and look forward to releasing the entire record but for now, I hope you enjoy this one.

Back in 2023, I set out to make a quick one-minute song using only one pedal on every instrument. this was the Universal Audio GALAXY ’74 tape echo & reverb. It was all recorded into the SSL Big Six I had at the time. Never posted it here so better late than never. In fact, there are a handful of these types of videos I figure I should post on this page so… more coming. enjoy!

here is a look at the mix setup for the upcoming 24-track double LP for . tracked at and mixing on my home rig seen here. It’s been an immense pleasure recording and mixing this beast of a project. this band is just so good. a bit 90’s art rock. a bit electronic. a bit early 2000’s angular indie. & a lot of various percussion. they’ve got it all going on. hell, they even let me add some flourishes and do my thing on certain songs. close to the finish line!

quick nerd note : the ECM-519s used on vocals for the entire record. 50% blend (gotta love a blend k**b) . These 500 series modules are criminally overlooked. They are discontinued but if you ever find one, BUY IT. Unbelievable 1176 style comp with all the bells and whistles you’d ever need.
