Progress is looking pretty good around here. 🖤

The garage apron is prepped and getting ready for concrete, and we finally get to share a little sneak peek of the front entry.

And before anyone gets attached to that wood door… 😂 it’s just the construction door. The finished entry will feature a modern black front door, framed by all that beautiful glass.

It’s fun watching the big pieces come together—but these little glimpses of the finished design are our favorite part.

There’s the pretty side of building a home…
…and then there’s this side. 😂🔥💸

Today’s progress report:

🖤 Marvin windows going in
🏡 Porch + patio moving forward
🚜 Driveway excavation underway
💸 Lumber bill: $92,000

Tonight we’re celebrating by sitting around the firepit burning lumber scraps we apparently purchased at luxury pricing. 😂

Oh happy day! 🖤🏡

The transformation is happening fast at The Intentional — and this week brought some of those details we’ve been very excited to see come to life.

🖤 Marvin modern black windows are being installed
🤍 Porch + patio forms are poured
🚜 Excavation is underway for the oversized garage apron + driveway

There’s something about those black windows going in that suddenly makes all the framing, planning, decisions (and approximately 847,000 construction conversations 😂) start looking like the home we envisioned.

Still plenty of work ahead, but today we’re just enjoying this stage.

The details are taking shape. 🤍

Forms are going in for the front porch and covered patio at The Intentional—soon to be finished in charcoal stamped concrete with a chiseled edge. It’s one of those details that may seem small on paper, but adds so much character to the finished home.

We’re grateful for the talented people helping bring our vision to life.
Mason Custom Homes has been alongside us for the foundation and concrete work, and Holweger Construction has done an incredible job bringing the structure together through framing and shingles.

Building well is a collaborative process, and we appreciate working with people who care about the finished product as much as we do.

One more detail closer to home. 🏡

Right now, it’s just a pile of lumber.

In a few short weeks, it’ll be the framework of a home thoughtfully designed for the way people truly live.

Every home starts with a vision. Then comes the planning, the patience, and the craftsmanship that transforms raw materials into something extraordinary.

North Dakota weather has slowed us down just a bit, but quality is never rushed—and we’re one step closer every day.

Framing is next, and we can’t wait to watch The Intentional begin to take shape.

Every home begins long before the walls go up.

It starts with a vision, thoughtful design, and a solid foundation.

The foundation for The Intentional is now complete, with water, sewer, gas, and electric established on site. The next chapter begins soon as framing transforms plans on paper into spaces you can walk through, experience, and call home.

We’re excited to share each step of the journey as this signature residence takes shape in Grand Forks.
