Every summer brings new ideas, fresh perspectives, and talented individuals who are eager to make a difference, and this year's IMI interns certainly delivered.

Over the past several months, our interns have worked alongside teams across the company, tackling meaningful projects, learning from experienced professionals, and developing solutions designed to help optimize the way we work at icon Mechanical, iENG Design, eagle Controls, and iSuite.

As they wrapped up their internships, each intern presented their final projects, showcasing not only what they learned, but the lasting impact their work can have on IMI. We're proud to announce our 2026 Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.44, a reflection of a culture built on accountability, trust, and looking out for one another.

Maintaining an EMR of 0.44 while continuing to grow isn't something that happens by accident. It's the result of thousands of safe decisions made every day by our craft professionals, field leaders, project teams, and safety department. This achievement belongs to every employee who chooses to lead by example, follow the process, and make safety a priority on every jobsite.
