The TF spiral nozzle has been part of BETE’s heavy-industry spray solutions for decades, and it remains a go-to choice for demanding applications where clog resistance, durability, and spray performance matter.

From hot-gas quenching and emissions scrubbing to evaporative cooling in chemical, petrochemical, steel, cement, and waste-to-energy processes, the TF spray nozzle performs in conditions that would clog or destroy lesser designs.

The TF features:
✅ One-piece design with no internal parts for clog-resistant performance in harsh gas streams
✅ High discharge velocity to support rapid evaporative cooling and fine atomization
✅ Available in corrosion-resistant alloys including 316 stainless steel, Duplex 2205, and cast nickel alloys
✅ Flow rates from under 0.5 to over 3,700 gpm for systems of nearly any scale
✅ Spray angles from 50° to 180° for flexible coverage

From small quench systems to large-scale industrial installations, the TF scales with your process.

No impellers. No motors. No moving parts — just a pump, a nozzle, and an effective, economical way to circulate liquids and homogenize sediment in tanks.

BETE's TurboMix® Eductor nozzle uses the energy of your motive liquid to entrain and circulate surrounding fluid, delivering powerful tank mixing without the mechanical complexity that drives up maintenance costs.

For water and wastewater treatment facilities, that means:
✅ Reliable tank circulation and blending
✅ A 3 to 5x multiplying effect on motive liquid volume
✅ Works in open or closed tanks
✅ Low acquisition cost and minimal ongoing maintenance

If your current mixing setup is more complicated than it needs to be, TurboMix® is worth a closer look.

Our June Application of the Month highlights how BETE spray nozzles enhance venturi scrubbing performance.

In a venturi scrubber, the gas stream accelerates to high velocity and meets the scrubbing liquid at the throat, where intense shearing creates the contact between particulates and water that makes the system work. This means precise nozzle placement and performance critical to the entire system.

Effective venturi scrubbing depends on:
✔️ Tight spray angle tolerances to ensure complete coverage at the throat
✔️ Accurate, consistent flow rates matched to system design ✔️ Precise nozzle positioning, even a few inches can impact scrubbing efficiency
✔️ Durable nozzle designs built for demanding high-velocity environments

BETE nozzles are engineered to deliver the precision and reliability that venturi scrubbing demands — with tight manufacturing tolerances on spray angle and flow rate to ensure optimal coverage right where it matters most.

Attending ILASS-Americas 2026 this week?

Daniel deLesdernier, BETE Manager of Advanced Spray Engineering Services, will present his technical findings on Thursday, May 14, from 8:40–9:00 AM PDT.

Paper 61: "Co-Current vs. Counter-Current Spraying in Gas Cooling Applications," co-authored by Jordan Peacock.

This paper examines spray evaporation behavior within gas cooling ducts and presents findings on how spray direction and spray pattern influence system performance in industrial cooling applications. The work offers practical insight for engineers involved in the design and optimization of quench, conditioning, and evaporative cooling processes.

ILASS-Americas is the North American chapter of the Institute for Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems, an organization bringing together industry professionals, researchers, scientists, academics, and students engaged in the science and application of liquid atomization and spray technology.

Spray lances, injectors, and quills sourced from multiple vendors might work just fine. Until they don’t.

Wall wetting. Corrosion. Uneven distribution. Unplanned shutdowns. Last-minute problems during installation. Issues that impact your bottom line over time.

BETE’s spray lance, injector, and quill solutions are engineered as complete, drop-in assemblies designed for real process conditions.

From chemical injection and gas cooling to quenching and wash water applications, every fabrication is built around spray performance, code compliance, and long-term reliability.

And when maintenance matters most?
Retractable lance designs allow operators to inspect and service nozzles without taking the process offline. That is critical in continuous-processing environments where outages are expensive.

BETE expertly handles:
✔ Custom-engineered spray lances and quills
✔ ASME code-compliant fabrications
✔ CFD-backed spray analysis
✔ Exotic alloys & corrosive environments
✔ Complete spool & spray header assemblies
✔ Complete Spray System Solutions
