This old deck had seen its better days. Client wanted to downsize it a bit from a 12x20 to a 12x14.

We brought the posts out of the ground onto concrete piers, used 8x8 posts for more stability on the taller side. 2x10 floor joists that were taped with Moisture Sheild joist tape to prevent rot in between the decking and joists. Went back down with composite decking which was screwed down with hidden fasteners, (some places hidden fasteners weren’t applicable so we used colored matched face screws). Then we finished it off with Aria Railing aluminum handrail.

Will add more finished pictures later on. I forgot to take some on the last day.

45x12 with a 6’ wide staircase wrapped up. Decking screwed down with hidden fasteners, so that means no face screws to hold water. All joists and beams taped with Moisture Shield joist tape to prevent water from sitting between wood to rot. Posts topped off with solar lights!
