This is true for all trades or scopes of work. Example: new cabs in a remodeled kitchen. Map out where your cabs are. Verify stud location for fastening cabs. Rare but if need be cut rock behind where cabs are and add blocking. Address any issues such as out of square, plumb/level, plumbing, electrical,etc. Overall installation is so much faster if your not switching gears. Just focus on installing cabs. Preparation allows for best possible outcome. This is also applicable in just living.
