Electric Boat is headed to the Build Freedom Summit!

This Wednesday, we're proud to have three members of the Electric Boat team sharing their expertise and helping shape the conversation around the future of America's maritime workforce.

Sean Morrone, Manager of Workforce Development, and William Barber, Chief of Workforce Development, will present "Investing Early, Hiring Strong: Electric Boat's K-12 Workforce Ecosystem Across CT, RI, & MA," highlighting how partnerships with schools and communities are creating meaningful pathways from early STEM engagement to careers in maritime manufacturing.

Katherine Sutton, Senior Specialist Workforce Development Representative, will lead an interactive workshop bringing maritime manufacturing and supply chain concepts to life, demonstrating how hands-on learning can introduce students to the opportunities within our industry.

Building the next generation of maritime talent takes collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to investing in tomorrow's workforce today.

We're proud to have Sean, Willie, and Kathy representing Electric Boat and sharing the work happening across our region, and contributing to a national conversation about the future of our industry.

Yesterday, educators came together at CT State Community College’s Three Rivers Campus for a SeaPerch training hosted by Navy STEM.

Teachers and instructors learned how to build underwater remotely operated vehicles using SeaPerch kits, complete with tools and instructional workbooks.

The training equips educators working with students from middle school through high school with the skills and resources to bring hands-on engineering experiences into classrooms and after-school programs.

Through the collaborative efforts of the Navy STEM Coalition, which brings together Electric Boat, UCONN, and URI, educators gain access to hands-on learning opportunities and resources that inspire the next generation to explore STEM, engineering and careers in the manufacturing industry.
