Colorado farmers and ranchers spend more than $400 million annually on energy.

Energy Smart Agriculture Conference in Montrose, 4/24 will help agricultural producers consider how utilizing clean energy holds the potential to reduce cost of production, modernize infrastructure and improve margins.

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) and the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) has announced an energy smart agriculture workshop to be held on April 24 in Montrose that will detail energy savings and climate resiliency opportunities for Colorado farmers and ranchers. Created through a partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service, state government and agricultural industry leaders, the workshops will focus on energy efficiency, on-farm renewables and funding assistance.

The series provides the opportunity for Colorado producers to discuss local concerns about agricultural energy and climate resilience with public officials and industry experts. Workshop attendees will learn about technical assistance to address barriers that prevent investment in energy efficiency and renewable energy as well as how to access local, state and federal funding.

Turn in RSA by 4/19 for program ending on 4/30! -
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the Solarize Gunnison County mission to bolster the local solar industry and create solar access with the group buy-in program. It is the final two weeks. Please return RSAs by 4/19 to be able to have an on-site assessment before the program ends.

Solarize Gunnison County will only be accepting Remote Site Assessments (RSAs) through Friday, April 19th!

The group buy-in program ends April 30th, and in order for Nunatak Alternative Energy Solutions to schedule your on-site assessment, please return your RSA by Friday, April 19th.

We look forward to providing you a complimentary site assessment before next Friday and the group buy-in program for solar installations ends.
