Nothing got built, finished, or installed today. Sometimes it’s good to take some time away from the jobsite. Stay tuned for some photos from our current Mountain Modern project where we are almost finished with cabinet install.

The old full-dimension 2x framing lumber from made for some beautiful doors. We cleaned up and milled this material from the old studs and skip sheathing. Thanks to a little elbow grease, these 120+ year old boards will be around for a few more generations.

We’re excited to see this Design come to life. We went with 3/8 CDX plywood for the sheathing material on this. A little overkill from the framing components will help keep things rigid when using a lighter duty shearing material. The flex of the 3/8 ply should give us the soft curve we’re looking for.

These doors looked too good during their test fit not to snap a photo. After a successful dry fit they have been stripped of their hardware and prepped for finishing. Stay tuned for a shot do the finished product.

Making some cool cuts this week. Getting ready to assemble a radius wall on one of our jobs in Hailey. HRE we are using a template and router to mill up some 1-1/8” ply to be used as wall plates.

We’re putting the finishing touches on a set of custom barn slider doors for our remodel in Old Hailey. These doors were built using old framing and siding lumber that was harvested during demo. We even used some of the old, hand-forged nails from the original build in 1902. Pretty cool to see these old boards all cleaned up. Stay Tuned.
