Our community has always been built on energy — powering not just our own homes, but communities across the region. For generations, coal has been the foundation of our economy and our identity.

As Craig Station and our local mines prepare to close, we know this transition is personal. It affects our neighbors, our families, and who we are. But Craig has reinvented itself before, and our spirit of resilience runs deep.

That’s why we started High Altitude Geothermal. We believe in our community’s future and in sustainable energy that creates local jobs right here at home. The same hands that powered America for decades can lead the way in our energy future.

This transition won’t be easy, but we’re in it together. High Altitude Geothermal is committed to being part of the solution.

The Cooper family has worked in the coal industry in Colorado for generations. That's ending as one of three coal mines in their area closes in a statewide shift to cleaner energy.
