For 20 years we have done our best to provide as accurate an estimate for a project as we can. Although this was for a basement finish, a smaller project for us, we finished a project recently and just calculated the final invoices. Our quote $148,227.50. Actual project amount invoiced to the clients $148,226.29 (we offer cost/plus contracts and pass thru all invoicing to the clients). We missed it, by $1.21. A record that will not be broken for the remainder of my career!
