Alpha Utility Services

Always love being in this beautiful country side and the wildlife. Thankful for the work.

Utility Poles in the Lamar and Chrisney, IN areas are being treated this month. Members can expect to see Alpha Utility Services performing maintenance of wood poles, which includes inspection and application of remedial treatments.

Pole treating helps add years of safe, reliable service life to Southern Indiana Power's pole plant, thereby reducing unnecessary or premature replacement costs.

A crew in Muncie captured this picture of the shelf cloud on the storm front. Please stay safe as severe weather continues to move through the area.

Our crews will respond to outages as soon as it is safe to do so.

We are blessed to be back in Ohio working.

Bluelick & Rockport: Alpha Utility Services, a contractor for Midwest Electric, will be conducting pole inspections in your area. You may see their trucks or UTV in the area. This process includes walking around the poles, digging around them, and hammering and drilling into the poles.

Please note that contractors may need to access your property to reach these poles and equipment.

Pole testing is conducted annually to ensure our members receive reliable electric service. Midwest Electric tests all distribution poles on a 10-year cycle. Any poles that do not meet strength and safety standards will be replaced, and an additional preservative treatment will be applied to those that require it.

Our first Alpha company trip is in the books. We went to Fletchers Landing six hours north. Beautiful weather, cabins and lake. The sky and stars were awesome at night. We filleted fish every morning and evening having a big fish fry last night. The staff was good to us. Great memories were made for sure.
