Take a look at these pictures. What you’re looking at is a barely one-year-old HVAC system. On paper, it’s a great, modern setup. In reality? It was a ticking time bomb of inefficiency.
We had to completely disconnect this entire system and start from scratch. Why? Because the original installation completely skipped the fundamentals: a proper supply air trunk and return air trunk.
Instead of a engineered system designed to let the house breathe, it was choked out with improperly run flex ducting, sloppy line sets, and zero regard for static pressure. An HVAC system can be top-of-the-line, but if the ductwork and airflow aren't right, it’s just an expensive paperweight that will burn itself out in a few years.
🛠️ What we’re fixing:
• Re-engineering the airflow: Tearing out the bottlenecked connections to install proper, rigid supply and return air trunks so the system can actually move the volume of air it was designed to.
•Repositioning the outdoor condensing unit to sit properly on the pad
•Freon leaks and gas leaks
•Adjusting gas pressures that were never dialed in and caused over pressured burners
•Finishing wiring the outdoor condensing unit that they never finished .
• Doing it right the first time (even if it's technically the second): Ensuring this homeowner actually gets the efficiency and lifespan they paid for.
The Lesson: Cheap installers install equipment. Professional HVAC techs install systems. Always vet your contractors, because fixing a bad install costs way more than doing it right the first time.
