There’s nothing quite like the sound of a bucking chute opening and the excitement of rodeo!

JKC Construction is proud to be a Bucking Chute Sponsor of the 2026 LRCA Finals Rodeo at the State Fair of Louisiana in the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum!

Being a part of this event means a lot to us. From hauling in and preparing the dirt inside the arena to having our company name on the bucking chutes, it’s been an incredible experience seeing our work and our support for rodeo come together.

Watering the arena and getting ready for the rodeo!

This was the very first tractor we bought when we started JKC back in 2022. At the time, we didn’t have much, but we had big goals and were willing to work for them.

Four years later, we’ve grown, added equipment, and come a long way from where we started. Seeing this old tractor still out working is a pretty good reminder of the days when we were just getting started.

Proud of how far we’ve come, thankful for everyone who’s helped us along the way, and excited for what’s ahead.

Never forget where you started!

RECORD TIME! DIRT IS IN, AND IT’S RODEO TIME!

The JKC Construction crew knocked it out of the park! We got the dirt moved into Hirsch Coliseum and ready for the 2026 LRCA Finals Rodeo in record time!

It takes good equipment, a solid plan, and most importantly, a hardworking crew that knows how to get the job done!

A special thank you to Lane Shepherd for sending the dump trucks and helping us get this job knocked out! We sure appreciate the help. It’s always good working with folks who show up ready to get the job done!

We’re proud to play a part in getting the arena ready for some of the best cowboys and cowgirls around!

NOW IT’S TIME TO PACK THE STANDS!

The dirt is prepped and ready to be dug out Monday morning and moved into Hirsch Coliseum as the 2026 LRCA Finals Rodeo comes to life at the State Fair of Louisiana!

JKC Construction has been contracted to put the dirt in the arena, and we’re proud to help prepare the venue and serve as a Silver Sponsor of this year’s State Fair.

Yesterday, we traveled to Magnolia, Arkansas, to help my mother-in-law as a wildfire burned less than 200 yards from her home. The fire was still actively spreading while we were there and had already burned approximately 150 acres.

Seeing this firsthand was a real eye-opener!

One thing became crystal clear: keeping your property lines cleared and wide enough to drive down is more important than most people realize.

Forestry mulching isn’t just about making your property look better. It’s about reducing fire fuel, providing access for firefighters, and helping protect what matters most.

Yesterday gave me a whole new appreciation for the work we do at JKC Construction.

Don’t wait until a fire is at your doorstep to think about your property lines!

I wanted to share a few pictures of some properties we’ve been working on lately.

One of the things I enjoy most about forestry mulching is seeing the difference it makes in a piece of property. It’s always satisfying to take an area that’s grown up and hard to get through and open it back up so the landowner can really see and enjoy what they’ve got.

Every property is a little different, and we take pride in making sure the finished product is something both we and the customer can be proud of.

I really appreciate everyone who has trusted us to work on their property. We don’t take that trust for granted.
