We are extremely proud of IronMechs 3.0 (99157C) for their performance at the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis. Our middle school superstars ranked 13th out of 84 teams in their division!

This success was a true team effort, built on countless hours of engineering, strategy, and problem-solving. Behind every student were parents who provided consistent support. Coach Denise did a fantastic job with the team!

We especially want to thank all the parents who traveled to St. Louis to cheer the team on, manage the pit, and provide encouragement. The connection between students, mentors, and families is what makes our community so effective.

The journey to Worlds has officially reached the competition floor!

Today, the IronMechs 3.0 Middle School team is in St. Louis for Day 1 of the World Championships. Standing among 585 elite teams from every corner of the globe is an incredible achievement in itself, and we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication these students have shown.

To the team - have a blast! We are rooting for you.

On April 18, we were in Morgantown, West Virginia for a hands-on robotics workshop with kids ages 8–13. It was an adventure in building, problem-solving, and persistence. Students described it as "fun," "challenging," and "worth it." We watched them learn to reason through problems, work patiently alongside each other, and push through mistakes to finish strong. More than a robotics class, it's a confidence-builder.

When we asked the kids who could describe the scientific method, one elementary school student raised her hand and said it better than any textbook:

"You draw a map, then follow the map to build your idea. If you make a mistake, you can fix it. You need a notebook to draw your map and write things down - like a scientist." ✨

Thank you to every young builder who showed up, got stuck, and kept going.

IronMechs (VEX VRC Team ) is recruiting 2 talented high school students for the 2026–2027 competitive season.

We're a serious, competition-focused team based in Haymarket, VA and we're looking for 2 individuals ready to level up their robotics game.

We're specifically looking for students with strengths in:
✅ Programming (C++ or Python)
✅ Engineering Notebook & Documentation
✅ Prior VRC experience (MS or HS level)
✅ Strong commitment and follow-through

This isn't just a club, it is a competitive team that competes at regional and Worlds events. If your student thrives under pressure, loves problem-solving, and wants to be part of a team that wins, we want to hear from them.

On 2/4/2026 - our 2 IronMechs Teams brought hands‑on robotics, curious minds, and big energy to a room full of future engineers. Nothing beats watching younger kids light up when they drive a robot for the first time.
