Regarding the coming freezing/sub-freezing temps, if you have a heat pump, please switch to emergency heat at the onset and during those temps until they rise above freezing. Heat pumps won’t perform well at sub-freezing temps.
Also, be sure to check on folks, particularly the elderly.
And, of course, follow all the protocols for around your home, yard, and vehicle to protect against the drastic cold.

Eldridge Services, Inc. will be sponsoring/decorating a scarecrow for this fun fall event supporting our local Interfaith Council on Poverty ministry. This ministry includes our local food pantry, holiday food/home necessities baskets, dress a child, etc. Come out and enjoy all the fun fall things and VOTE for our Eldridge Services scarecrow!!!

Play, create, and celebrate an autumn afternoon at the Scarecrow Soiree! Fall event and scarecrow contest all while supporting our local Interfaith Council! A portion of all entry fees and scarecrow sponsorships will be donated to Interfaith, so bring family and friends to share the fun and vote for your favorite small business scarecrow! Dress up and enter the scarecrow (nothing scary, please) contest to try to win a yummy fall dessert! Large family discounts available. A collection table will be set up if you'd like to bring canned goods or leave a monetary donation to Interfaith. Let's make this a great afternoon for the small businesses, our Interfaith Council, and all the guests!
