We’re Hiring – Estimator / Preconstruction Manager
📍 Hollywood, MD | CAD Industries
⚡ Underground Utilities | Outside Electrical | Medium Voltage
CAD Industries is looking for an experienced Estimator with a background in outside electrical construction and utility work.
We are growing quickly and need someone who can take projects from drawings to completed estimate packages with speed and accuracy.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with outside electrical / utility construction
- Familiarity with medium voltage distribution, duct banks, conduit systems, transformers, and directional drilling
- Strong knowledge of Accubid
- Ability to perform take-offs from civil and electrical plans
- Comfortable building material lists and obtaining vendor pricing
- Understanding of panel schedules, feeder circuits, and electrical drawings
- Organized and able to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist with project turnover after award is a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing plans/specifications
- Performing quantity take-offs
- Building accurate estimates and bid packages
- Coordinating vendor/sub pricing
- Assisting with preconstruction and project handoff
- Site visits as needed
This is an in-office position with competitive pay based on experience.
Salary range: approximately $90K–$120K depending on experience.
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with a company that is heavily involved in utility infrastructure and complex underground electrical projects throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia.

CAD Industries – Underground Utility Construction

We are hiring two laborers to assist our underground utility crews.

Pay: Starting at $20/hour

Work includes:
• Traffic control
• Shoveling and basic hand work
• Cleaning mud and debris from roadways
• Sweeping streets and work areas
• Assisting with pipe fusing
• Supporting equipment operators and foremen

This position is a pathway into the trades. Reliable workers will have the opportunity to learn equipment operation and advance into operator roles.

Requirements
• Must be dependable and show up ready to work
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work
• Must follow safety rules
• Must be drug free

Location
Work is primarily in Maryland and Virginia with long-term local utility work.
