SRQ Robotics is a United States electronics design firm with its primary office in Houston, Texas, working on ultra-low-power wireless devices since 2019. We take products end to end: RF and antenna design, multi-layer PCB layout, firmware, sensor fusion and DSP, and the mobile apps and dashboards that sit on top.
Our work spans wearables and health, sports and fitness, navigation and tracking, robotics and drones, automotive and industrial systems, and audio and DSP.
Typical silicon includes Nordic nRF52840 and nRF52832, ST STM32F4 and STM32WL, Espressif ESP32-S3, Microchip SAMD51, TDK InvenSense IMUs, u-blox GNSS receivers, and Texas Instruments power and analog parts. Radio work covers BLE, sub-GHz, LoRaWAN and 433 MHz, and we design our own antennas, matching networks and baluns rather than dropping in pre-certified modules. Algorithms are modelled in MATLAB and deployed as optimised C++.
Representative projects:
1. A 10 x 10 mm board carrying GNSS, a sub-GHz radio and an MCU, reaching around 12 km on a short wire antenna and running 30 hours on a 60 mAh cell.
2. A rotational rate measurement system resolving 0.0083 degrees per second from commodity MEMS sensors, well beyond the manufacturerโs published performance.
3. A hydraulic press controller holding roughly 5 micron positioning accuracy in an electrically noisy factory.
4. A programmable STEM drone with its own flight controller and classroom programming environment.
5. Body-worn training sensors, respiratory monitors, equine gait trackers and cycling cadence sensors sharing a common nRF52, IMU and BLE platform.
6. A guitar effects pedal and audio products built on low-noise analog and high-resolution DAC design.
We also build and run our own products, including an AI dance coaching platform that has processed more than twelve thousand videos. (https://dancebetter.org)
