Join us for a day of sailing on Galveston Bay as the Icicle Series continues in excitement!
The first of the series brought fast legs, friendly competition, and laughter, both on the water and back at South Coast. We look forward to another fantastic day for race II as winds are expected to be a lively 20–25 knots.
Winter sailing can be uniquely rewarding, offering a serene peace and a crisp, lively energy on the water. Layered clothing and water resistant fabrics will help keep temperatures comforable.
Informal regattas are exceptional opportunities for sailors to sharpen their skills, gain confidence, and add miles to their logs, while still enjoying a relaxed, fun, and informal environment for learning. Each race is approximately 8.67 NM, offering the perfect mix of tactical trim work and navigation practice.
After a day of sailing, bring an appetizer, dessert, or hors d’œuvre to share during our afternoon social! All homemade dishes will be entered into the "Culinary Delight Contest" for a prize.
Awards will be given for individual races and the overall series. All sailors are welcome to join in on the fun.
