Health and Safety Administrator job based in Houston TX reporting to Health and Safety Manager. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and promoting multiple facilities safety, work plans, audit scheduling and report coordination and Powerpoint development. Travel from time to time may be required.

The position provides support to the site operations leadership in the following areas: Safety, Occupational Health, audits, and Health & Safety training and development. This position receives support and direction regarding Health & Safety compliance activities from the Health and Safety Department personnel.

Health and Safety Administrator job responsibilities include:
• Develop safety plans for site management regarding the establishment of Health & Safety objectives, plan activities to achieve those objectives, and integrate Health & Safety into the site culture.
• Maintain accurate and complete records that meet regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing Health & Safety programs and practices through reviews and data interpretation.
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs..
• Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard controls and hazard control programs. (Develop Powerpoint for presentation of findings to the team)
• Provide recommendations for correcting safety hazards and unsafe work practices.
• Provide follow-up to ensure implementation of corrective recommendations and tracking to closer.
• Assist in the completion of occupational health-monitoring activities to meet regulatory requirements for subjects such as asbestos, silica, hearing and lead.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in Health and Safety
Solid understanding of health and safety principles
Safety Terminology
Ability to research regulatory requirements

• Strong computer skills:
Word
Excel
Powerpoint
• Strong report development skills
• Excellent communication skills
