Impacted as others are with plans made and suddenly faced with the unknown, my heart felt blessings to all Americans. My companies plans of reorganization were progressing nicely when the halt took place. The fact that Growth, Opportunity & Development never stops is encouragement. In life and business the details paid attention to can reap dividends.I found this in my Thirteen year old when she got excited to start school online as many school districts have. She keeps good grades but the real excitement for me was seeing her enthusiastically wanting to make the most of this new challenge. Certainly, there are challenges much more severe that a lot of us may face but what's the takeaway from a G.O.D. perspective? For me... Growth - With things still going on even in a standstill, taking the time to pay attention to who we really do all this work for.
Opportunity - Understanding that I really have a chance to watch growth from my child and the person they are becoming.
Development - Since I'll be at school with them, I may be able to impart some knowledge or wisdom God may have blessed me with.
Well at least when they are inclined to listen. "Teenagers?"
My point is simply to sharpen your skills by paying attention to details around you regardless of your circumstance and see what G.O.D. can materialize for you.

Can your vision for success in life and business survive to Mick Jagger proportions? Odd question you say. Follow me for a moment.
Had the opportunity this past Houston weekend to be at Rolling Stones concert in a working capacity. From the moment Mick Jagger came on stage performing his opening number “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” you recognized something extraordinary was taking place. Being no more the 5 feet away at times, I had a chance to observe the facial features of a man whom just the day before turned 76 years of age. Wrinkles notwithstanding, when you think about relatives and friends of relatives, some in their fifties facing Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s disease and a host of other debilitating ailments, I was amazed at the exuberance displayed.
In my observation I and the audience felt the songs “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, Sympathy for the Devil”, and “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction.” Not from a defeated standpoint but a place of victory.
You see, Not always getting your desire, the Devil’s power and getting no satisfaction are all things that may make your reliance on God a factor in your life. Growth Opportunity & Development are things you need to combat the shortcomings, lost opportunities, regrets and disappointments you feel when things either man made or self-made enter your existence. No matter how young or old you are, now is not the time to fold your tent and quit.
Mick Jagger amazingly finished the concert looking younger than when he begin it. Perhaps all that jumping around really got the blood flowing. A testament to exercise.
Whatever the case, I took from that concert You Have to Persevere. Life is not over until you’re dead and gone. Don’t let defeats drown you in sorrow but rather turn those things around, improve yourself where you can and let nothing inside or outside the realm of this world stop you. Live Your Life!

“News Flash in Houston”. Car repair shop owner arrested for scamming customers to the tune of 90 thousand dollars! Ever had a situation where God leading you to the right versus wrong people solved your problem.
Growth Opportunity & Development recognizes businesses employees can make a difference each day in the lives of their customers. Those that go beyond the call of duty by providing exceptional customer service are assets to any company.
Three parts department employees, (Ed, Angel and Paul) of Houston business Sterling McCall Cadillac went beyond the call of duty.
Short story – Needed a fuse to temporarily get my car running and to a shop. After an expensive repair by a mechanic of something that did not get the car to run and then being referred to someone that diagnoses electrical problems of which are never free, I went to Sterling McCall Cadillac parts department to purchase the fuse. While purchasing the fuse I explained the problem and symptoms experienced. Ed responded, “I’m not a mechanic nor do I have any idea of your problem but you know we’ve seen a lot of purchases of a particular part associated with your model car and the problem you are having. I thanked him and decided to investigate the part online. To my surprise I found a do it yourself video on YouTube (normal), but the repair video explained all the symptoms I was having along with why I should change out this part. Two corroborating pieces of information had been obtained so I decided to purchase the part which Paul retrieved and Angel sold me all while being polite and courteous. Problem solved.
Now I know all car issues can’t be solved in this manner, but isn’t it great when employees take the time to really listen and try to help. EVER HAD THAT PROBLEM?
So a big TTGAT to Sterling McCall Cadillac’s stellar parts department employees.

When you say the word GOD, what does that mean to you? Can images of a deity greater than yourself or belief in yourself make GOD? Having a strong belief in GOD or strong sense of self still require 3 things needed for continued forward progress in this life. Growth – In business it starts as an idea formed from a desire to create something of value. In life it’s knowing ones true self and how to maneuver in the lane that you’re in. Opportunity – In business it’s not allowing the unknown to prevent you from trying. In life it’s that moment the break you’ve been dreaming about becomes real. Development – In business and in life it’s taking what you have and making it better for yourself and others. Whatever your imagination of GOD, the presence of Growth Opportunity & Development is necessary for success. We want our GOD page through posts and video to recognize sacrifices and achievements that many make daily to encourage your achievement as well no matter the circumstance.
