In unity, there’s boundless possibility. Across Oxy, our employee resource groups (ERGs) continue to bring colleagues together from preparing sandwiches and trail mix bags with Kids' Meals, Inc. for the Houston area to hosting leadership symposiums and sessions built around career development.

Whether they are showing up for our communities or sharing journeys and advice with one another, it’s inspiring to see what we can accomplish when we come together.

Throughout September, over 250 Oxy employees came together to help Fill the Plate through volunteer service and support for hunger relief efforts across our operating areas, providing over 330,000 meals to community members. We’re proud to stand alongside our food bank partners as they work to connect families with nutritious meals and essential resources. Thank you to everyone whose generosity and commitment helped make Hunger Action Month a success.

Our annual Oxy Night at the Park tradition brought employees and their families together in Houston, the Rockies and the Permian Basin for baseball, family fun and plenty of Oxy spirit.

We were also proud to recognize our Oxy military veterans and thank them for their service to our country and communities.

Learning is hitting the road across West Texas with the launch of Basin PBS's new Jolly Trolley, a mobile education van that showcases iconic PBS KIDS characters and is designed to bring free books, technology and hands-on learning experiences directly to children and families throughout the Permian Basin.​

"Programs like The Jolly Trolley help connect children and their families with resources that can spark curiosity and encourage lifelong learning," said Oxy's Claire Sirois, President and General Manager, Delaware Basin Texas. "Partnering with Basin PBS is a natural fit for Oxy, given our longstanding commitment to communities across West Texas, and we're excited to see this program reach communities throughout the Permian Basin."​

For 40 years, Basin PBS has supported children and families across West Texas through educational programming, literacy initiatives, educator resources and community events. The Jolly Trolley builds on that work by bringing trusted PBS KIDS resources directly to families where they live, learn and play.​

With The Jolly Trolley officially on the road, more children across the Permian Basin will have opportunities to explore, create and discover one stop at a time.

Building connection, fostering inclusion and creating opportunities for employees to learn and grow is at the heart of Oxy's employee resource groups (ERGs).​

Our ERGs continue to bring people together through events that showcase the power of partnership, unity, inclusion, knowledge and service:​

- Mental Health Matters partnered with Lone Star Sanctuary in Midland to bring dogs available for adoption for an employee brain break​

- Asian Heritage Network celebrated the heritage, community and contributions of our AANHPI employees through presentations, meaningful conversations and senior leader allyship​

- IT leaders deepened their practice of conscious inclusion through Oxy's DIB learning sessions​

- Hispanic Network hosted a match watch party, combining a passion for fútbol with community impact by decorating 256 lunch bags for Kids' Meals Inc.​

- Mosaic, Allyship and FRIEND hosted a multicultural leadership workshop and panel, where four Oxy leaders shared insights on communicating effectively across diverse teams and perspectives​
