Meet The Team: Jorge Madrid

When you've been estimating masonry projects for nearly two decades, you develop an eye for detail that most people spend a lifetime trying to master.

Jorge joined Axis Masonry & Stucco in 2026 as an Estimator and Project Manager, bringing 19+ years of industry expertise to our team.

Before Axis, he spent nearly two decades at HDE Inc, where he developed all takeoffs and proposals for diverse projects nationwide. Daily calls with general contractor owners and project managers. Plans, specs, materials. Every detail reviewed. Every number double-checked.

Now at Axis, Jorge estimates and reviews plans and specifications for brick, block, and stucco on apartments and commercial buildings across Texas. But his role doesn't stop at the bid. He oversees projects from start to finish, working alongside our superintendents and project managers to ensure what we estimated is exactly what we deliver.

As our Safety Director & Project Manager, Kolbey oversees everything from preconstruction budgeting to final coordination, ensuring every detail is handled with precision and every team member goes home safe.

🏆 Welcome to the team: Manuel Duran
We're proud to have Manuel Duran, one of our exceptional Superintendents, as our new team member!

Manuel brings over 50 years of masonry expertise to Axis Masonry and Stucco. His journey in the trade began in 1972 when he joined the bricklayer union while still in high school at Houston Technical Institute.

Throughout his remarkable career, Manuel has worked through every role in the masonry field from laborer and helper to mason, foreman, and superintendent. He's worked for some of the largest and most respected masonry companies in Houston, including over twenty years at Lowrey Masonry, where he honed his craft and developed deep industry knowledge.

Manuel specializes in block, brick, and stone installation, and his decades of hands-on experience ensure exceptional quality and craftsmanship on every project. His dedication, expertise, and work ethic embody the values we hold at Axis Masonry and Stucco.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: A changed condition at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum required precision masonry patching on historical brickwork.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱: The work had to be invisible: matching texture, color, and pattern so perfectly that it appears untouched.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁: "It truly looks like we did not even disturb this area," said Justin Hennis, Senior Project Manager at Paradigm Construction.
