Transition duct should not be used as the primary line for dryer exhaust. The flexible pipe gets heavy as water and lint sit in the pipe and reduces air flow quality. These pipes are not code compliant and should be replaced with 28 gauge rigid pipe. Give us a call for your free system evaluation. 256-715-2030! One of our customers in Decatur called and said it was taking four cycles to dry their clothes. As soon as we disconnected the transition hose, we could instantly see the problem. We cleaned the vent in the wall and changed the transition hose to dryer flex. They are very happy and the dryer works like it’s brand new. Give us a call for your free inspection. 256-715-2030.

Old aluminum vent hood couldn’t close due to lint buildup up which became a highway for the squirrels and chipmunks to bring their nuts into the dryer.
