Ground Ladder Attendant Extraordinaire

We’re hiring a Ground Ladder Attendant Extraordinaire to keep our NDT technicians safe, supported, and on the move. This is a temporary position with the potential to be hired PT or FT. We have amazing benefits, including paid NDT training to launch your career with us at NDEI!

What You’ll Do:
• Ladder Safety: Keep technicians secure by stabilizing ladders.
• Safety Support: Monitor surroundings for hazards and be ready to jump in when needed.
• Gear Guru: Hand tools, materials, and be of assistance to keep things moving.
• Active Work: Climb stairs, bend, stand for extended periods, and stay on the go.
Details About the Role:
• Schedule: Arrive at our Indian Trail office at 7:00 AM sharp. Punctuality is required! Travel with the NDT technician to our customers manufacturing plant (about an hour away), work approximately from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and return to the office by 4:30 PM.
• Paid lunch with the technician approximately between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
• Equipment Provided: We’ve got you covered with a company shirt, standard safety glasses/goggles, cut resistant gloves, hard hat, and ear protection. You’ll need to provide your own steel toe or composite boots (company to see and approve of the type of boot you plan to wear). Also, you will wear your own pants! Yes, please don't forget your pants! Work khakis, tactical, or cargo pants are preferred, but jeans in dark blue or black are acceptable. No tears, holes, rips, etc.
Who You Are:
• Safety-conscious and physically active.
• Reliable with your own transportation or reliable transportation to the central office in Indian Trail.
• Ready to work indoors and outdoors in varied environments.
• Current safety certifications? Even better!
Must-have qualifications:
1. Are you willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations?
2. Are you willing to take a drug test, in accordance with local law/regulations?
3. Have you completed the following level of education: High School Diploma or GED?
4. Are you legally authorized to work in the United States?
5. Can you speak, read, and write English proficiently?
Preferred qualifications:
6. We must fill this position urgently. Can you start immediately?
7. Do you have any experience working as a laborer, in construction, manufacturing plant or nondestructive testing?
8. Do you have any current safety training or safety course certificates?
8. Do you love the idea of being greeted by wagging tails, playing some fetch, and getting doggie hugs when you come to the office?
