This unit serves a surgery suite at Community Howard Hospital, because of the critical environment there was only a small window of time to swap the unit with the new one. To speed up the change out and startup time our team traveled to the crane yard where the unit was being stored days before the scheduled change-out to complete all of the startup procedure possible without power to the unit. Once the unit was set on the roof with power connected we were able to complete the programming and startup to get the unit functioning before the deadline requested by the hospital.

Special thanks to Ball State University for the chance to present “VRF Technologies and Applications” to three Mechanical-Electrical classes at Ball State Universities Construction Management and Interior School, College of Architecture given by AC Equipment Reps Steve Ehrman, PE LEEDAP. AC Equipment Reps supports recruiting recent college graduates to our industry to help them realize the great opportunities a career in HVAC can provide. Additionally, this activity helps the local ASHRAE chapters by fulfilling the Student Activities objectives of promoting opportunities the HVAC profession offers.
