BANG! Major intercept in the Dominator F150 blew out the window!

Dangerous tornado to intercept given the rain-wrapping. This was a classic vigorous South Dakota supercell

See the massive dynamic pipe?!

BIG-TIME INTERCEPT in Ideal, South Dakota!

🌪️ SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK – Wednesday, June 3, 2026 (03:00PM CDT Update)
SPC Risk Level: SLIGHT (Level 2 of 5)
Valid through June 4, 2026 12:00 PM CDT

📍 Major Cities in Risk Zones
🟡 SLIGHT Risk: Aberdeen, SD, Grand Forks, ND, Norfolk, NE, Rapid City, SD, Scottsbluff, NE, Amarillo, TX

🌪️ Tornado Risk Zones
🟡 10% Tornado Risk (Discrete supercells with tornado potential from central/eastern SD into far southeast ND): Aberdeen, SD, Grand Forks, ND, Sioux Falls, SD, Fargo, ND

What the Percentages Mean
A 10% tornado risk means there is a 1 in 10 chance of a tornado within 25 miles of a point. Supercells capable of producing a few tornadoes, isolated very large hail, and damaging wind gusts are expected primarily in the northern Plains this afternoon and evening.

📝 Overview
Thunderstorms with large hail, severe wind gusts, and a few tornadoes will be possible this afternoon and evening across parts of the northern Plains, including eastern South Dakota, North Dakota, and northern Nebraska. A surface front combined with an embedded mid-upper level speed max and sufficient moisture and instability (MLCAPE 1000-2500 J/kg) will support supercell development initially. Low-level shear and hodograph curvature will be favorable for a few tornadoes with the initial storms.

06/03/2026

Live emergency update from central South Dakota with explosive supercell development expected over the next hour! A strong or two will be possible, particularly along a retreating outflow boundary zone

06/03/2026

We are tracking a severe storm with prominent hail core heading for Whitehorse, South Dakota!
