❄️ Stay Warm with These Cold Weather Tips ❄️
Due to the up coming sub zero temps, here are some tips to help keep your home warm the next couple days. As temperatures drop, be sure your home is ready. Here are some quick tips from your friends at Air Control Heating & Cooling to keep you cozy and your system running smoothly:
1️⃣ Check Your Furnace Filter – A clean filter improves efficiency and ensures air flows freely.
2️⃣ Seal Drafts – Inspect windows and doors for leaks and use weatherstripping or caulk to keep the cold out.
3️⃣ Set Your Thermostat Wisely – if you set back your temp at night it can struggle to get back up to temperature with this cold.
4️⃣ Keep overhead garage doors closed.
5️⃣ Test Carbon Monoxide Detectors – Safety first! Replace batteries and test functionality.
6️⃣ Do not panic if your furnace does NOT turn off. It’s doing its job. Let it do its thing.
7️⃣ Be sure your furnace vents are clear. Not just around them, but inside them. They can ice up inside the piping too, which will shut your system down.
These tips will help in the next couple days. The temperatures with the wind chill will be dangerous do not spend too much time outside. Be safe and take these steps to help keep you and your families warm.
Thank you and be safe,
