⚠️ MAUI: PREPARE NOW FOR TROPICAL STORM LALA ⚠️
Tropical Storm Lala is approaching, bringing the potential for heavy rain, damaging winds, flooding, fallen trees, and power outages.
If your home has solar with Tesla Powerwall or FranklinWH battery storage, take a few minutes now to prepare your system:
🔋 TESLA POWERWALL
• Open the Tesla app and select Settings → Storm Watch
• Make sure Storm Watch is enabled
• Verify your home address is correct under Settings → My Home Info
• If Storm Watch has not activated, temporarily raise your Backup Reserve to 100%
• Confirm the Powerwall is charging and connected to Wi-Fi
🔋 FRANKLINWH
• Open the FranklinWH app and select Settings → Storm Hedge
• Enable Storm Hedge and Tropical Storm Warning notifications
• Confirm the system enters Emergency Backup mode
• If Storm Hedge has not activated, temporarily raise your Backup Reserve to 100%
• Verify your device address and internet connection
⚡ DURING AN OUTAGE
Conserve battery power for the essentials: refrigeration, lighting, communications, medical equipment, and other critical loads. Limit high-demand equipment such as air conditioning, water heaters, dryers, pool pumps, and EV charging.
Do not climb onto your roof or attempt electrical repairs during severe weather. Stay away from damaged equipment, standing water, and all downed power lines—always assume they are energized.
Secure outdoor equipment, charge phones and backup batteries, stock drinking water and medications, and continue monitoring official emergency updates.
Stay safe, Maui. Prepare early, look out for your neighbors, and please don’t wait until the wind is howling to open the app.
