Job Description: Seasonal Laborer OR Operator
WHAT WE DO:
Midwest Milling is an asphalt milling company located in Lenexa KS. We act as a subcontractor to asphalt paving companies. We are contracted for the removal of asphalt and concrete both on city streets and in parking lots. We maintain a safe working environment and leave our jobs clean and prepared for the paving companies to lay down a new surface.
LABORERS: ($30 per hour starting)
As a laborer you will learn to work in tandem with a crew to get the job completed. Applicant must be be physically capable, and safety conscious and willing to work. The job entails use of hand tools as well as power tools. Experience is desirable but willingness to learn/listen will go a long way. As a laborer you will be provided a backpack blower, pick-axe, and saw to assist in the removal of any asphalt that the heavy equipment is not able to reach safely.
OPERATOR: ($43 per hour)
As an operator you will learn to operate the asphalt milling machine with efficiency and safety in mind. The job will require situational awareness, good communication skills, and attention to detail. Previous experience is a plus but not mandatory.
