🔨 We don’t just install floors, we fix flooring that was installed incorrectly.

At Grant Construction Group, we install tile and LVP and hardwood floors the right way from the ground up. But sometimes, we’re called in after another installation has already failed.

That’s exactly what happened on this project.

The tile underlayment (HardieBacker) had been installed with nails instead of the appropriate screws/fasteners, compromising the installation.

Then we found another issue with the LVP. The flooring was peeling back because the substrate wasn’t properly leveled, and the subfloor had been nailed down instead of properly screwed to the framing, allowing movement that ultimately affected the finished flooring.

The lesson? 👇

A beautiful floor is only as good as what’s underneath it.

Proper fastening, a properly prepared and level substrate, and following the manufacturer’s installation requirements are critical. Cutting corners on the prep work may not show immediately — but eventually, those shortcuts can come back as loose tile, separating seams, movement, squeaks, or flooring that starts to fail.

Hey y’all! 👋

This may seem like a tiny detail, but tiny details can turn into HUGE problems when they’re done incorrectly.

In the first 3 pictures, you can see how Grant Construction Group properly installed the drip edge so water flows into the gutter where it belongs.

The next 3 pictures show an incorrect installation, including one photo taken during a rainstorm that shows exactly what happens when the drip edge isn’t installed properly. Water can get behind the gutter, leading to water intrusion, staining along the side of your home, damaged fascia, and eventually rot.

These are the kinds of details that may not seem important until they become an expensive repair.

💧 Fix it now rather than fixing a much bigger problem later.

🏡 FULL HOUSE REMODEL Coming in HOT 🔥

We’re excited to finally share the professional photos from one of our recent full-home remodels! This project was a true inside-and-out transformation, and we’re incredibly proud of how it came together.

✨ From Plain & Boring to a Custom Statement Wall ✨

What was once a blank, uninspiring wall is now a stunning focal point that adds warmth, texture, and character to the space.

For this project, we custom designed and built a solid white oak accent wall completely on-site, ensuring a perfect fit and seamless finish. To complement the feature wall, we installed two matching floating white oak shelves that provide both function and style while maintaining a clean, modern look. We moved the outlet aswell to hide cords for the future TV to be hung for a nice clean and crisp look.

The entire installation was finished with a durable matte polyurethane, giving the wood a subtle sheen that enhances the natural grain while providing long-lasting protection for years to come.

It’s amazing how the right custom woodwork can completely transform a room without changing its footprint. Simple, elegant, and built to last.
