Brett Gornewicz Foundation In honor of Army Sgt Brett Gornewicz who sacrificed his life protecting our freedoms.

In February 2012, SGT Brett Gornewicz, of Alden, NY deployed to Afghanistan as a member of the 444 th Engineer Company. On November 3rd, 2012 Brett and two fellow soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb. In his honor, a group of current and former military members came together to form the Brett Gornewicz Foundation. The directors established the foundation to directly benefit current and former military members and their families through financial grants and other services.
