As we move closer to the peak of storm season, keep these items in mind:

1. Swap the filter and vacuum return grilles.
2. Clear leaves and yard items from around the outdoor unit.
3. Walk the house with a roll of weatherstripping. Small gaps add up.
4. Know where the HVAC breaker is. If a storm hits, you can power down safely.
5. After a storm, look for standing water, debris, or bent fins before restarting. Call a pro if anything looks off.
