Astronomy on Tap - Lansing Events featuring informal presentations by professional astronomers, held in bars around the Greater Lansing Area. Event Organizer: Devin Silvia.

Astronomy is even better with beer! Scientists, educators, writers, artists & more reveal how they explore the universe at a bar near you! Each FREE event features accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. Presenters are from local research and educational institutions like Michigan State University. We have games and

prizes to test your new-found knowledge! There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who tag along for the beer. Astronomy on Tap is intended for adult audiences and presentations may include swearing. Local Organizer: Devin Silvia

"Astronomy On Tap - Lansing" is local Michigan spin-off of the original astronomy on tap (https://www.facebook.com/AstronomyOnTap , or on twitter&instagram as & ). The original event was created by Meg Schwamb (), organized by Emily Rice (), in NYC and Demitri Muna () in Columbus, OH.

Edit: THE EVENT IS TONIGHT (oops!)

Tonight (4/9) night at the Lansing Makers Network, we'll be having our special event for the MSU Science Festival. Doors open at 5:30pm for you to tour the space, get some food/drink, and potentially make your own sand-blasted shot glass or etched bottle opener ($15-20 to cover the cost of materials)! See the attached photos for examples of what you could make. The science talks will kick off at 7:30pm!
