Say hello to Jack Philips of *Terra Stone Makers* in New York, an artisan turning our GeoCement into detailed architectural ornaments like this miniature classical archway. See https://www.terrastonemakers.com/ for more!

With the ceramic finish, low-carbon footprint, and moldability of GeoCement, Terra Stone Makers is pushing the boundary between sustainability and old-world design.

We love seeing traditional forms made with next-generation materials.

Stay tuned for more from Terra Stone Makers!

🌍 Big Step Forward for Geopolymers: ASTM C1948–24 Standard Released

We’re excited to share that ASTM International has officially published ASTM C1948–24: Standard Specification for Geopolymer Binders. This marks a historic milestone for the construction materials sector—and for the commercialization of geopolymers worldwide.

Until now, the lack of standardized specifications has been one of the biggest barriers to mainstream adoption. With ASTM C1948–24, industry stakeholders finally have a recognized framework to evaluate performance, safety, and compliance of geopolymer binders.

For Geopolymer International, this standard validates years of innovation and field work. It accelerates pathways for:
✅ Utility infrastructure—where our binder has already seen commercial use.
✅ Fireproofing and resilience applications—addressing urgent challenges from wildfires to structural safety.
✅ Future scaling—opening new doors for global partnerships, certifications, and regulatory approvals.

This isn’t just about one company or one material—it’s about giving the world a practical, high-performance alternative to Portland cement, a major contributor to global CO₂ emissions.

📢 We see this standard as a call to action: for utilities, regulators, and developers to join in advancing sustainable, resilient infrastructure.

👉 What opportunities do you see for geopolymer adoption now that ASTM has set the standard?

🧱 It’s time to rethink what we build with and why.

Most construction materials are made from nonrenewable, chemically processed, and often toxic ingredients. At Geopolymer International, we’re changing that.

Our geopolymer cement is non-toxic, safer to handle, and dramatically better for the environment.

And here’s the kicker:

It cures in fraction of the time and lasts 100 times longer than traditional Portland cement.

Less maintenance. Fewer repairs. Lower lifecycle emissions.

On Our Radar 🌍 | Ivory Innovations Fieldworks Program

We’re excited to share that Geopolymer International is applying to the newly launched Fieldworks program by Ivory Innovations, a hands-on initiative connecting proven innovations to real affordable housing projects in Utah.

With our geopolymer-based construction systems, we’re ready to demonstrate how sustainable materials can cut emissions, speed up builds, and strengthen resilience in the field, not just in theory.

At GPI, we’re always seeking opportunities to implement climate-ready solutions where they’re needed most, and Fieldworks is exactly the kind of bold, collaborative program that moves the industry forward.

News Around the World 🌍 | Geopolymers for contaminated soils

A new Scientific Reports study (covered by AZoBuild) finds a blast-furnace-slag geopolymer outperforms Portland cement for stabilizing clay contaminated with heavy metals (Pb, Ni). Key results after 7-day cure:

- +120% increase in unconfined compressive strength at 15% dosage (cement: +80%).
- ~30% greater reduction in compressibility vs. cement.
- Better immobilization chemistry: soil pH rose to 11.5 with geopolymer (cement: 10.2), supporting heavy-metal retention.
- Mix: GBFS activated with NaOH + Na₂SiO₃; contaminated soil prepared with Pb/Ni solutions; samples from Nazarabad Industrial Park.

Why we care (GPI): This aligns with our waste-to-value approach, using industrial by-products to solve real remediation and resilience problems in the field.

Every region has different resources.

We turn them into next-gen building materials.

Our geopolymer cement adapts to the local geology—meaning less waste, lower emissions, and materials made for the places they’re built in.

♻️ Sourced from regional byproducts

💪 Stronger than traditional cement

🚫 Non-toxic, no hazardous binders

This is how we build smarter, safer, and cleaner.
