COVID-19 UPDATE For Friends, Family, Freelancers & Loved ones:
As some of you know, for 2 years now, Courtney and I have been working on a side app business that was made to help connect freelancers/independent contractors with clientele much easier. This dream of ours was finally realized this month as we just published a version of the app on both the Google Play store and the Apple store! However, I am mainly bringing this up to your attention now because we need your help... We initially intended to release this app locally in our area first and then slowly expand from there, but then this corona-virus thing happened. We thought this would slow our momentum and keep us from growing for now- which we were fine with tbh.
BUT 2 days ago we had an HVAC technician check out our filters and he told us that the business he works for might be closing shop temporarily...
He expressed that he would be fine for a week or two without work but several weeks would put a strain on him and his family, and that he was worried for all the people who still need services done regardless of this shutdown- plumbing, air conditioning, electricity repair, etc. Long story short, he was so happy to hear about our app that he said he would share it with other people he knows would benefit from it as well! THIS opened our eyes to see not only an opportunity for this business to grow exponentially NOW, but more importantly a chance to help these freelancers make ends meet and to help our communities continue to receive needed services despite this bad situation. We are NOT aiming to go against the government's choices to limit our interaction with one another, but freelancers/independent contractors still need to make money and people still need to get their requested services done. Of course it would be up to the people's own discretion, but at least the door is open!
So.. Whether you read the whole thing I wrote or not lol, all we ask is that you download the app yourself and leave us a positive review! Like and comment on our social media pages! Use it when freelancers are available! It would benefit you too! And most importantly, share with everyone (PREFERABLY FREELANCERS) you know. All can benefit from it!
