Before locking in a color for a commercial space, we work through four things:

• Lighting and how the color shifts across the day
• Scale as the room size changes the feel
• Materials already in the room such as flooring, fixtures, millwork
• Space uses focus zone, hospitality space, high-traffic corridor

Pinterest looks great. A 40-foot lobby wall is a different story.

Done right, an accent wall does three things:

Skipping primer is the most expensive shortcut in painting.

A topcoat is only as good as what's under it. Primer does the work the topcoat can't:
